I would love to play the role as it is now. With my Christine and a Raoul. It’s an interesting idea though, changing gender. I wonder how it would work.If I get vocal training and manage to develop my lower range, and extend it by a tone then I’d be in the original Phantom range.

This week is introduce myself to new musicals week.
Yesterday I listened through the whole of the OBC recording of Catch Me If You Can and really enjoyed it!
Grant you, they were forgettable songs, but good ones! Very much stuff that I like, with a big orchestra and a great brass section and very 50s/60s feel, so great music, with lots of back up singers and stuff.
So yeah! It was cool listening to something new for a change!
So now I have Elisabeth, Follies (New 2011 Broadway Cast Recording) and Book of Mormon to get through!
I wonder what I’ll think of them….
cosette is my least favorite character in the musical; she’s so boring and one-dimensional. but when i read the brick, she became one of my favorites. her story has many more layers and i like that it doesn’t only focus on her love for marius.
and she’s just SOOOOOO
CUTE!

I may not be a massive The Lion King Musical fan but:
a) Scar = BIGGEST DREAM ROLE EVER ASIDE FROM PHANTOM
b) George Asprey who plays Scar and who I saw back a couple of years ago is my homeboy. He’s THAT GOOD.
c) The fact that the give him a permanently raised eyebrow is just the BEST THING EVER.
